Wispr Flow alternative for Windows

Talk more. Pay less.

Love dictating, but tired of counting words? Nixi is a free Wispr Flow alternative for Windows. Press Right Alt, speak, and Nixi types into the focused text field. There is no dictation word cap or subscription. Speech recognition runs on your PC after setup.

Wispr Flow is a strong choice if you need its Mac and mobile apps, 100+ languages or meeting notetaker. Nixi is for someone who wants free Windows dictation and a small assistant that can also take a defined set of voice actions.

Say it. Nixi types it.

Focus a message, document or note field and press Right Alt. Clean mode removes common fillers and formats punctuation and clear lists. Polished mode can fix some close spelling errors using a local AI model, but it takes longer and can still miss a name. Read the result before you send it. See how Nixi dictation works.

And then ask it to do something.

Nixi also has Command and Write modes. Ask it to open an app, set a timer or reminder, find a file, change volume or draft a reply. These are supported actions, not a promise to control every app or complete any task you can imagine. See the voice actions Nixi supports.

Where Wispr Flow wins

Need dictation on your phone or Mac? Need many languages or meeting notes? Wispr Flow advertises those today; Nixi's current public beta does not. Nixi is built for a different choice: free, uncapped dictation and a local Windows assistant in one small pill.

Try Nixi with your own words

Nixi needs 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and a microphone. Core speech and AI features work offline after setup; web searches, opening sites, updates and optional model downloads use the internet. The Windows beta installer is currently unsigned. Read how to verify the download, then get Nixi for Windows.
