Voice actions on Windows
Ask Nixi. Get it done.
Nixi is a free voice assistant for Windows 10 and 11. It lives in a small pill on your screen. Speak a command and Nixi can carry out a defined set of everyday actions on your PC.
Things you can say
- “Open Calculator.”
- “Set a timer for 10 minutes.”
- “Remind me at 6 to call Mom.”
- “Find my resume.”
- “Set the volume to 30.”
- “Play Billie Jean on Spotify.”
Nixi can also open a website, search the web, keep a list, help you find something on a page and answer some questions about your screen. See the Command, Dictate and Write demos on the home page.
More than speech-to-text
Dictation turns speech into text. Command mode asks Nixi to take an action. Write mode makes a first draft in your focused app. These are separate modes so you can choose what should happen to your words. Read why we built three modes.
Local by default
The built-in speech recognition and AI run on your PC. Core features work offline after setup. A web search, website, update or optional model download uses the internet. Read what runs locally and the privacy notice.
Know the limits
Nixi is a beta with a defined set of supported actions. It is not a complete replacement for every mouse, keyboard or accessibility task. Some actions depend on the target app and whether it is ready and in focus. English is the supported voice language today.
