Privacy

Your information, clearly explained.

When you visit the website

The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not follow you across other sites. It records which pages are visited, the site that sent you here, your browser, device type and country, and how fast pages load. We see only totals, never a list of visitors.

When you request a download

The website stores the email address you enter, when you first and most recently requested a download, how many times you requested one, and your country as provided by Cloudflare.

We use this information to provide the beta download and contact you about Nixi updates or the Mac release. The information is stored in Cloudflare KV, which is part of the Cloudflare Pages site.

Your browser also saves the email in this site's local storage so it can fill in the form on your next visit. This browser copy is separate from the waitlist record. Clear this site's saved data in your browser to remove the saved copy; email us to remove the waitlist record.

Remove your email

Email [email protected] from the address you used and ask us to remove it. We will delete the matching waitlist record.

When you send feedback

The feedback page stores your answers, when you sent them, which link you came from (email, Discord or the app, when the link says so), and your country as provided by Cloudflare. It does not store your IP address. Your email is stored only if you type it in, so we can reply.

Answers are stored in Cloudflare KV and deleted automatically after a year. We read them ourselves, and we may use AI tools to help sort them. To remove answers you sent with your email, write to [email protected] from that address.

Until you press Send, your answers are saved in this site's local storage, so a long test survives a reload. Sending clears them.

When you use the Windows app

In its default local setup, heynixi processes speech and AI requests on your PC. The app stores settings, history, reminders, and diagnostic files in your local app data folder. It does not automatically upload audio, transcripts, screenshots, history, or diagnostics to Nixi.

When you ask heynixi to search the web or open a website, your browser contacts that service. Optional model downloads contact the model host to fetch the file. Those services have their own privacy practices. The app's full notice is included as docs/PRIVACY.md with the installation.

Reporting a problem

From version 0.2.11, heynixi has no in-app error report and sends nothing about a problem by itself. To report a bug, a problem or an idea, use the feedback page, or join the heynixi Discord community and post there, in your own words and with your own screenshots. You can also save a support bundle on your PC (Privacy & Data, Export support bundle) and attach it. The bundle holds only your heynixi version, your Windows version and recent timing data that contains no text, and it goes nowhere unless you attach it.

Discord is a separate service with its own privacy policy, and what you post there is visible to the community's members. Do not post passwords, keys or other private information, and blur anything private in a screenshot.

Versions before 0.2.11 can send an optional error report after showing you its contents. Those reports hold your version, Windows version, a chosen feature and recent text-free timing data, are stored for up to 90 days, and then expire. No report is ever sent automatically.
